Photography Retoucher

In 2019 Team SKY cycling ended and the riders team is now sponsored by chemical company INEOS and are now known as Team INEOS. I was already a preferred contractor for Team Sky for retouching and I was fortunate enough to be retained by, the new, Team INEOS.

With this sponsorship a new Team INEOS kit was designed and launched, due to rider schedules and other factors it wasn’t possible to have the new kit photographed on the riders in time for the launch, I was approached by the marketing team to digitally alter the previous kit to match the new design, this meant stripping off the old logos adding the new branding and changing the colour of the new rider kit. The project was a difficult undertaking as the existing logos overlapped zips and had garment texture which had to be retained and this had to be replicated across 30 existing rider images.

After some initial tests to see whether the task was possible and would look realistic enough I went ahead and edited the existing images on the likes of Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas, Egan Bernal and all the other Team INEOS Riders in time for the kit launch and the Guys in the marketing team were very happy with the results. I have to say it was one of the most challenging and enjoyable retouching jobs I have had in a while.
